These batteries have a lower energy density compared to lithium-ion batteries, which results in more weight and volume for the same amount of energy. If volume and weight aren't big considerations, then lead-acid batteries are an excellent option.

Gel batteries don't have a fluid as an electrolyte like lead-acid batteries, thus are, among other things, maintenance-free and safer in use due to lack of Hydrogen gas discharge. Gel batteries weigh a bit more than lead-acid batteries.

Lithium-Ion batteries outshine other options when it comes to energy density. They can be charged faster and more often. Lithium-Ion batteries weigh almost two-thirds less than lead-acid and gel batteries. The ideal option if weight savings and longevity are paramount.
