Who are we?

Elva is a specialised manufacturer of electric propulsion systems. As a subsidiary of AEE marine – founded in 1984 by Piet Bibo – Elva has made a steady and healthy growth to the position of market leader in the low countries.
Among other things, Elva has introduced the Asynchronous technique in electric sailing and is a pioneer in the use of lithium based batteries.

To this day Elva remains the only company which manufactures both electric boat motors and aluminium boats.

Some of our clients are: Municipality of Amsterdam, the Dutch nature conservation organization Natuurmonumenten, holiday multinational Center Parcs, boat rental companies as well as many private consumers.
